Hua Hin is a beautiful coastal town located in the Prachuap Khiri Khan province of Thailand. This charming town is about 3 hours drive away from Bangkok Airport, making it a convenient destination for both locals and tourists alike.
I’ve been to Hua Hin a couple of times before and I absolutely loved it, so I decided to go again this year. I stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel and I’ll share more about that later.

Hua Hin is renowned for its stunning beaches that stretch along the Gulf of Thailand. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing day under the sun, taking a dip in the crystal-clear waters, or participating in exciting water activities such as jet skiing or kiteboarding, Hua Hin has it all. The soft sand and gentle waves provide the perfect setting for a beach getaway.

Aside from its picturesque coastline, Hua Hin is also a popular destination for golfing enthusiasts. The town boasts several world-class golf courses that offer breathtaking views and challenging holes. Golfers from around the world flock to Hua Hin to tee off in these beautifully landscaped greens while enjoying the pleasant tropical weather.
Shopping and Entertainment in Hua Hin
When it comes to shopping and entertainment, Hua Hin has plenty to offer. The town is home to shopping malls like Market Village and BluPort Mall, where you can find a wide array of local and international brands. Indulge in retail therapy, dine at delicious restaurants such as The Wine Connection (one of my favourites as it has delicious food and some of the cheapest prices of wine in Thailand), or catch a movie at one of the modern cinema complexes.
For those seeking a vibrant and cultural experience, the Cicada Market and the Night Market are must-visit destinations. The Cicada Market is known for its arts and crafts, live performances, and mouth-watering street food. It’s a great place to shop for unique gifts, handmade souvenirs, and immerse yourself in the local art scene.

The Night Market, on the other hand, comes alive as the sun sets, offering a bustling atmosphere filled with food stalls, vendors selling clothing, accessories, and more. It’s the perfect place to taste authentic Thai street food, bargain for souvenirs, and soak up the lively ambiance of the town.
Whether you’re seeking relaxation, adventure, or cultural exploration, Hua Hin has something to offer for everyone. It is no wonder that this idyllic coastal town has become a favourite destination for both locals and international travellers.
