Well, here it is, my last full day in Orlando 😢 For my final full day there had to be only one destination – The Magic Kingdom.

Us in front of the Castle at the Magic Kingdom

I got there about 11am as I had fast passes booked from 12.15pm. It was reasonably busy but not crowded. I was going to have a look at the Grand Floridian Resort the other day but didn’t have time so we took the opportunity to go and have a look at it today. It is a gorgeous resort and some of the rooms have a view of the fireworks in the Magic Kingdom.

I made my way down Main Street taking in the atmosphere and wandering in to a few of the shops. I then took the railroad round the park as it was open again today after its refurbishment. It was a nice gentle way to see all the areas of the park. Then I went over to Space Mountain for our first fastpass. This was good, if not a bit of a gentle rollercoaster.

I went over to Storybook Circus to go and meet Donald. I love Donald as he is cheeky. I had photos taken with him and “The Great Goofini”. The queue for this was about 15 minutes so not too bad. Donald and Goofy are both lovely with kids and adults alike.

After this I made my way around the Magic Kingdom park to the Town Center Theater to go and meet the star of the show, Mickey! I was lucky to get fastpass for this as the wait was over 30 minutes and it is a notoriously slow moving queue. I went in to the room and to my surprise he talked. I am sure kids are in awe of this but to be honest it freaked me out a bit. This is another attraction where memory maker comes into its own. Mickey had us flying around like aeroplanes which was funny.

I had something to eat at the market in Liberty Square. The baked potato wasn’t half bad. After I ate lunch I waited for the parade. It was the Festival of Fantasy parade and I had a fantastic view. We like the way it gets updated every year. The fire breathing dragon was amazing. Remember your sunscreen and hat as it was very hot especially whilst waiting for the parade to start.

After the parade I went over to the Jungle Cruise for our last fastpass. The queue for this was 45 minutes but I got on in 5 minutes. It is a very gentle comedic ride.

It was boiling by this stage (95 degrees) so I decided to make my way back to the hotel.
