I had intended on blogging every day but time is getting away from me and we have been spending some time out relaxing and recharging our batteries in the Centara Grand Hua Hin Thailand so I have decided to blog as and when I can over the next week or so.
Anyway, we had a lovely breakfast including eggs benedict, toast and fruit. This is included in our hotel rate. We then spent some time to look around the gorgeous hotel grounds. It is amazingly green with many topiary animals throughout. It really does have a calm feel about it with some really nice pools dotted throughout the hotel. The Museum is the hotel coffee shop and it looks like it does amazing afternoon tea – we may have to go there at some point.

We had a relaxing day by the villa pool and decided we were going to top up our tan.
That evening we went for the daily cocktail hour and decided to have a couple of beers then a couple of cocktails before going out to the Thai restaurant which is on the 17th floor of the Hilton. It really does have an amazing view from up there, particularly at night. We had a 2 course meal with a couple of beers each which came to £44 which is quite expensive by Thai standards but I suppose that’s what you pay for the view. It was a very romantic place to have a meal.

On Sunday, we decided to explore the area and went down “walking street” which was a bit of an experience (hearing “massage, massage” over and over again coming from bars was interesting to say the least. Needless to say, we didn’t stop at any of them!) We also got a tuk tuk down the main road and had a look around some of the shops and hotels in the area.
We went around the night market which was bustling and very busy. Plenty of places to get all the brands that you like but a “good price”. We then went to a French Restaurant “Brasserie De Paris” which was recommended to us. Whilst it was a nice atmosphere overlooking the beach, the food was average and the prices were far too much for what was on offer. I liked my mixed grill but Chris’s steak was far too rare for his liking despite asking for it “medium-well”. However, it was lovely to sit in such a nice setting.
We then went over to the Elephant Bar in the Centara Grand Hua Hin and listened to the resident band whilst sipping cocktails in to the wee small hours.
