After boarding and the muster drill, I arrived at my well-appointed Azamara Pursuit balcony cabin (termed as a Club Veranda Stateroom) 7016. This is located near the front (bow) of the ship.
The Azamara Bed
The bed has lovely soft luxury bedlinen and I had a choice of pillows. As I wasn’t keen on the standard pillows on offer, the cabin attendant gladly provided me with a choice of alternatives. I chose the extremely comfortable Isotonic Pillow (a sort of memory foam pillow). Throughout the whole cruise I have slept like a log and have woken up feeling refreshed every day for the day ahead. I had my bed set up as a queen size bed. You can set it up as a twin if you prefer.
The Bathroom

This was probably the weak point of the cabin. It was quite small, especially in relation to some of the newer ships and those in the luxury category such as Silversea. It also lacked the storage of other ships I have been on such as the Yacht Club Cabin on MSC. However, the shower curtain had been replaced so that it didn’t cling to me when I used it. There was also plenty of hot water. The bathroom was also modern in decór.
The Azamara Pursuit Balcony Cabin

My Azamara Pursuit Balcony Cabin wasn’t the most spacious I’d had on board a cruise ship. However, it had everything I needed including a sofa, coffee/dining table, fridge and flat screen TV with many international channels. It was very comfortable and extremely quiet.
The stateroom attendant also introduced himself as soon as I got into the cabin and asked if there was anything I wanted. He also offered to fill the fridge with soft drinks of my choice. I also had plenty of bottled water in the cabin. I found the fridge not working when I first boarded the ship. However, the cabin steward fixed it the same day after I mentioned the issue.
The Balcony
I could sit outside on the very sheltered balcony whatever the weather. It was furnished with two comfortable chairs and a dining table. This meant I could have breakfast, or any other meal for that matter, on the balcony. I was a great place to watch the world go by especially on the sail in and out of Seville.
The Verdict on the Azamara Pursuit Balcony Cabin
The cabin is small but perfectly formed. The good thing about the ship is nothing is too far away from where I am on board. It is an ideal place to relax and read a book or watch the world go by with a glass of champagne.
