From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that our stay was as comfortable as possible.
Upon entering our room, the Presidential Suite, we were amazed by its grandeur. Although it may have been more of an extra-large room rather than a traditional suite, we were impressed nonetheless. The highlight of the room was the luxurious Jacuzzi bath in the bathroom, which added an extra touch of relaxation to our stay. The quirky and unique decor of the suite caught our attention, and we found it to be charming and refreshing.
There was a lack of air conditioning in the room. However, the hotel provided fans that proved to be more than sufficient, even on one of the hottest days of the year. We slept well during our stay which was a nice surprise. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the room was surprisingly quiet, allowing us to fully unwind and rejuvenate.

For breakfast, we were treated to a buffet that offered a wide variety of options to satisfy our morning cravings. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. However, we couldn’t help but wish for some fried eggs instead of scrambled and maybe some warm, flaky croissants. Regardless, the breakfast provided us with enough sustenance to start our day off right.
Overall, our experience at the Coal Exchange Hotel in Cardiff was fantastic, and we would have no hesitation in staying here again. The warm welcome, spacious suite, and comfortable amenities made our anniversary celebration even more memorable. We left with smiles on our faces, already planning our next visit to this wonderful establishment.
