I stayed at the Hyatt Place Zurich Airport for the night between flights as I was passing through Zurich Airport from Bangkok. It was incredibly convenient, being just a 10-minute walk from the airport itself. However, when I arrived at check-in, there was quite a long queue, and it seemed as though they were serving people in no particular order. I pointed this out to the staff, and they promptly checked me in, but it definitely seems like an issue that needs to be addressed.
As for the food in the hotel’s restaurant, it was quite expensive, but that’s to be expected in Switzerland. Since our flight arrived in the evening, we weren’t particularly hungry anyway, so we didn’t mind skipping a meal.
My room had a lovely view overlooking the park. It was equipped with both electric blinds and curtains to block out any unwanted light. The room itself was spotlessly clean, and the carpet was a unique combination of vinyl and short carpet. The wardrobe in the room was completely open without any doors, but for just one night, it was perfectly fine. The TV in the room had a wide range of channels, including a selection of British channels, which was a nice touch.
Overall, if I ever found myself needing a place to stay for just one night at the airport in Zurich, I would definitely consider returning to the Hyatt Place Zurich Airport. Its convenient location, cleanliness, and comfortable amenities made it a suitable choice for a short layover.
