StuartToday I decided to have a park free day and go and do a bit of shopping before going to see Illuminations in Epcot. I went to the Florida Mall and it is bigger than when I went last time. I did a fair bit of damage to the bank account and spent a few hours there. I ate in the food court which was lovely.
In the evening I had booked a table in the San Angel Inn in the Mexico pavilion – I did this through the planner before I left for Orlando. It was quite a romantic location with the low light and candles on the tables. At a cost of $100 for a 2 course meal for 2 it certainly wasn’t value for money and I probably wouldn’t recommend it.
After dinner I went on the Three Caballeros then we decided to have a walk around world showcase in the dark and we realised that the Illuminations fireworks were going to happen in 10 minutes. I got a good spot in Italy and the fireworks were fabulous. Really were Disney magic.
